REC & PLAY
It's time to Rec & Play! This afterschool program consist of outdoor activities, obstacle courses ,exercising, running, jumping, climbing and playing like so. We create a safe and comfortable place where kids can build healthy friendships and foster teamwork. It is here the youth will enhance their social skills and self- confidence.
Paint Workout
The youth will exercise with an instructor while creating a masterpiece! Imagine after every set you have to dip your fingers in paint and create magic on your canvas for 30 seconds. This program will stimulate youths creative side, relieve stress and improve brain health, strengthen bones & muscles. Plus it's super messy and fun, duh!

EAT HEALTHY
NIE understands that a healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition. Which is why we provide healthy snacks and encourage the youth to drink plenty water at least six to eight 8-ounce glasses daily. In our care we nurture the belly with healthy snacks, (except when we are eating Empanadas) :) and since water is a part our body we make it apart of our family!

PERSONAL HYGIENE
NIE understand diseases, conditions and infections can possibly be prevented or controlled through appropriate personal hygiene. For this reason we strongly encourage youth to keep hands washed regularly with soap and lukewarm water. Besides your hands it so much more to healthy hygiene... but don't worry NIE has the information you'll need to live a healthier lifestyle.

MENTOR
Tender Love & Care Mentoring is a program designed to encourage and support mutually beneficial, long-standing relationships between adult role models and youth. We still practice the traditional mentoring and we do our best to connect mentee (student) with a match (mentor) fitting for child. Our one on one, group and online sessions provides support, resources and positive strategies that helps the mentee to see a better outlook on life for life.

ONLINE WORKSHOPS, CLASSES & MORE...
The youth will develop skills & confidence they can take with them for life. The youth develops a sense of awareness for self and others. Youth develops social skills, as children collaborate with others, helps youth to be introduced to other cultures and teaches the youth to be understanding of different perspectives. These wonderful benefits can affect the youth early on in such a positive way. Workshops, Classes, etc. are online via IG LIVE, ZOOM and in group settings in-person.

MEDITATE & YOGA
We understand how difficult things have been since COVID. Being isolated, masked and what was "order" now is all over the place. It seems as if nothing makes sense anymore. More youth today suffer from depression and anxiety. NIE is here to provide a safe place, where we encourage meditation and yoga it is here you will find peace, calmness, and balance. We offer online experiences , in-person with your mentor and we also encourage you do it on your own time.

Kids just wanna turn up!
It's simple when we are on our youth outings we are "turn't up!" Yes, our youth are safe and able to be themselves while respecting their peers because we do NOT tolerate bullying. But we DO tolerate fun!
Seek the Peace you deserve.
Youth carry more weight then you know. We here at NIE understand that which is why we have created a unique way the youth can let go and become more grounded through meditation and yoga. It's TIME to heal!
Youth Workshops
NIE offers preventive educational programs. We just want to inform the youth on topics such as Skin Care, Dental Awareness, CPR, Sexual Harassment, Anxiety, Depression, Bullying , Teen Pregnancy etc. Youth need to have a platform they can speak freely with no judgement yet still learn, via online or in-person.

With NO phones, TV's or laptops, only you, your thoughts and your truth. Here you'll have the ability to create a positive space, to think clearly, get in tuned with self, meditate, yoga, mentored and much more...

Growth Opportunities
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Youth Retreat Ceremony
Congratulations to our Texas youth who completed their 2021 six week online Growth Opportunities workshop facilitated by our Youth Development Coach Tiesha Hutchinson. The last 3 days were spent in person at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park and ended in a ceremony of completion.
SOW SEEDS WITH NIE
We encourage people who have a passion for the youth, helping their communities and simply those who have a talent, gift, and or ability they would like to share. Come on out and devote some of your time and energy for a much needed cause. Remember give with a cheerful heart!
